The Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association’s Allied membership is a wise investment and among the best-valued memberships in Hawai‘i. HLTA is the oldest and largest tourism industry trade association with hundreds of members from across the state.
Joining HLTA provides you with numerous benefits including:
Membership Dues are Tax-Deductible – 77% of dues payments and assessments are deductible by the Active (lodging), Allied (vendors), and Special Active members as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Any contributions or gifts to HLTA are not deductible as “charitable contributions” for federal income tax purposes.
Pictorial Membership Directory – This useful tool is also available only to members of the association. This directory is published annually and includes the name of the company/organization, address, phone and fax numbers, email address, and the name, title, and photo of that company’s representative.
Signature HLTA Events – These include the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, HLTA’s General Membership Meeting, the Hawai‘i Hotel & Restaurant Show, and Na Po‘e Pa‘ahana, HLTA’s annual event which recognizes the frontline stars of our industry.
Membership Mixers – Members are invited to membership mixers throughout the year. These events provide opportunities for networking and relationship building.
Updates & Reminders – HLTA issues regular newsletters and communications that keep members informed of upcoming HLTA events, government affairs, movers and shakers in the industry, island chapter updates, new members, and more.
Legislative Representation – HLTA continues to be the watchdog for changes in federal, state, and county government laws, policies, and regulations that impact our members. The HLTA maintains updates on bills during the legislative session and develops a Public Affairs Position Statement on a variety of measures impacting our visitor industry.
