Hotels for Healthcare Heroes

The above mahalo ad ran in today's edition of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. To see a full-resolution copy in its entirety, please click the image above.
Aloha,

In our final wrap-up of our Hotels for Healthcare Heroes initiative, I wanted to share with you the mahalo ad that ran in today's Honolulu Star-Advertiser. In addition to a recap and a listing of each of our hotel partners who helped to make this possible, the ad featured several testimonials from medical professionals who utilized the program and from two of our participating hotel general managers.

"Kohala Hospital had the opportunity to send frontline staff, including housekeeping, who live our mission and had perfect attendance during the big surge here in mid-September. I felt it important to give respite to those staff members who were here covering when it counted."

"After spending a whole weekend at the Four Seasons, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, and Hapuna Prince, these staff members came back to work feeling rejuvenated and appreciated. They were thanking me for selecting them for something I don’t feel responsible for. Please extend thanks to all involved who put on this wonderful program."

“The best thing about the weekend was the reassurance that the Four Seasons Resort O'ahu at Ko Olina was able to provide a great experience in a SAFE and thoughtful way. All staff were wearing their masks at all times in a correct way. The restaurants were socially-distanced and cleaning was apparent. The hand sanitizers were readily available, and the signage about masks was tastefully done. So many thanks again!”

We were proud to be able to support the Hotels for Healthcare Heroes initiative. Prior to each arrival, I worked closely with our team to ensure that these very special guests would be treated as real Heroes throughout their stay at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach. From our best rooms to personalized amenities, every detail was reviewed and communicated to the team. We wanted to really roll out the red carpet and express our appreciation for all their hard work throughout the pandemic.”

“As a part of our own Kuleana Commitment (Mālama ʻOhana), the Fairmont Kea Lani was happy to support the Hotels for Healthcare Heroes program and show our appreciation to local doctors, nurses, and clinical staff for all their efforts throughout the pandemic. These heroes, like so many others, have worked tirelessly to address COVID-19 for more than a year, and we were honored to be able to welcome them and demonstrate our sincere gratitude.”

I can't say enough about how many positive comments I've received about Hotels for Healthcare Heroes. It has been wonderful to be able to demonstrate how grateful our industry is to the men and women who have been working tirelessly to keep our community safe, and I want to commend each and every hotel that participated and made these people feel appreciated.

It's incredibly heartwarming to see the impact of the Hotels for Healthcare Heroes initiative, as highlighted in this mahalo ad. Providing respite and appreciation to our frontline medical professionals is truly invaluable, especially during challenging times like the recent surge in mid-September.

The testimonials from medical professionals and participating hotel general managers speak volumes about the positive outcomes of this program. It's clear that the opportunity for frontline staff to take a break and recharge at beautiful resorts like the Four Seasons, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, and Hapuna Prince has made a significant difference in their well-being and morale.

A big mahalo to all the hotel partners and everyone involved in organizing this wonderful program. Your generosity and support have not gone unnoticed, and the gratitude expressed by the medical professionals is a testament to the impact of your efforts.

Let's continue to find ways to support and uplift our healthcare heroes who dedicate themselves to keeping our community safe and healthy.

Mahalo nui loa,
